Prayers of the People
Creator of the music from our heart
and of Easter mystery,
We give you thanks for your powerful presence
in our sorrow, suffering and silence.
The hope you give us is a powerful hymn for us
As we sing your greatness – as we sing how you are fully present with us.
Through our transformational journey through the Holy Week and the Easter Sundays,
In every step we take, walking on this earth, the blessed planet,
Of water and wonder
Of dust and rock
Of lava and valley
We are awe-struck by the greatness which leads us to ponder upon and helps us to understand the way how you create us to be and live.
How we are born to life, live life, live dying, and die and rise.
Thank you for giving us the assurance and certain knowledge of Christ’s resurrection and the hope of our resurrection in your coming realm.
Thank you for our Christian faith.
Thank you for our Easter faith.
Thank you for the moment when our praises become really the expressions of our faith of Easter.
Thank you for the Easter Joy and Peace you breathe in to us.

Give us strength to sing and praise with the Psalmist; (Psalm 92:4-5)
“For you, O God, have made me glad by your work;
We praise you.
We rejoice and are glad in you.
How great are your works, O Lord!
Your thoughts are very deep!.”
Make this praise be a song for Sabbath Day, that we truly wait for,
while we deeply grieve over the losses we have experienced and are experiencing.

O Lord,
We are still standing at the empty tomb,
Strengthen our faith.
Embrace our hopes.
Let us open doors.
Let us see possibilities;
Let us chew and savour the true, sweet juice of your Word of new life, new beginnning.
Let us give thanks to what you are now creating.
You roll away the stones.

Let us praise and sing with all the instruments;
Use our heart to glorify you as our heart is the best instrument.
Let us listen, in a silence
When another person, another voice among us wants to share the sorrow and pain.
We know that it’s a painful journey of healing and hope.

God of all new things, God of spring,
God who gives each creation, each of us in this community and beyond
the right season to change,
the complete uniqute beauty,
the unique purpose

we pray for Fran Darling who we believe and hope has completed her journey on this earth to the fullness of her life.
Thank you for having blessed us by knowing her and walking with her on the ground, on this blassed earth, in the presence of your Holy Spirit. You have guided us, our journey, in this congregation, all saftely, on your strong wings. We pray for her family – in particular Peter, their daughter ___ and son ____, her mother ____,  and friends who are deeply grieving. Embrace them and bless them. Let us hold and stand firmly on the ground of hope and the knowledge of resurrected Christ.

And we pray for those struggling with illness, and from ___
Last but not least, we pray for the peace of the world.
God of Peace, unarm the world, and our heart.
Anoint us with your touch
so that the softness of your love
can break into our hardness
and open us anew.
Let us really care for one another. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
